Handlung

Wie eine Armee der Toten belagern sie nachts die Straßen von New York: Junkies, Verrückte, Heimatlose, Selbstmordkandidaten oder schwangere Prostituierte, die selbst noch Kinder sind. Mittendrin: der von Selbstzweifeln geplagte Unfallsanitäter Frank. Manchmal rettet er ihnen das Leben und fühlt sich wie Gott. Manchmal aber kommt er zu spät oder trifft eine falsche Entscheidung. Dann zeigt die Hölle ihre Fratze, wachsen Hilfe suchende Körper aus dem Asphalt, spuken Geister in Franks Kopf herum und lassen ihn nicht zur Ruhe kommen...
