Set against the turbulent backdrop of 1870s Montana, in the moments before the execution of Isaac Broadway, he gives his estranged son, Henry, an impossible task: murder the man who framed him for a crime he didn’t commit. The Gardner family moves to a remote farmstead in rural New England to escape the hustle of the 21st century. To their horror, the family discovers this alien force is gradually mutating every life form that it touches—including them.
